Grassroots: Inspiring Teachers to Change

In this session Chad talks about how every student is unique. Building on Sir Ken Robinson’s analogy of how education is like gardening, Chad encourages a group of teachers to be the change the system needs. By seeing their student’s talents, passions and skills individually, they can create the right conditions to achieve their potential. Imagine if… we didn’t wait. Imagine if… we just started.
About Chad Brinkley
Chad Brinkley is an Innovation Specialist / Change Agent from Murfreesboro, Arkansas. He has been working in education for 20 years. Chad is passionate about inspiring educators to recognize the change desperately needed to engage learners individually.
He also helps them to infuse technology into their instruction to better prepare students for life in the 21st Century. Chad is the co-host of two podcasts : “Education Innovation & Technology Podcast” and the “Tech With Us Podcast”. He has worked as a consultant in 8 districts in the last 5 years and has presented at multiple conferences including the National Governors Association. Chad has led the 1:1 iPad initiative for Murfreesboro High School and Murfreesboro Elementary School for 8 years and both schools are recognized as an Apple Distinguished School. He has both Apple Learning Coach and Apple Teacher certifications.
