A Visual Language to See the Real World

March 9, 2022 @ 12:00 pm 1:00 pm GMT

7AM EST / 12PM PST / 8PM SST

Around 1 in 5 of the world’s children and adolescents have a mental health disorder. Four in ten children are addicted to the internet. Students at all levels are unable to determine fake news from real news. Obesity among children and adolescents has increased tenfold over the past 40 years. The pandemic has led to kids being out of school for months, with feelings of loneliness and anxiety on the rise. And these are just some of the issues facing children growing up today. With the rapid rise of automation, it is impossible to predict jobs of the future. What we do know however, is that children of the future will need creative and critical thinking skills to succeed in the workplace. Most traditional education systems are not built to develop these skills.

Imagine if we could engage children in discussions about the very issues facing them, whilst developing their creative and critical thinking skills at the same time? At EYEYAH!, we believe creativity can save the world. We will demonstrate how in this fun interactive session that uses contemporary illustration and a visible thinking routine to tackle complex topics such as internet safety, sustainability and mental health
